• Because I could not Stop for Death
  • Death Sets a Thing Significant
  • Each Ecstatic Instant
  • I felt a Funeral in the Brain
  • I Cannot Live With You
  • I died for Beauty
  • I Measure Every Grief
  • I Taste A Liquor Never Brewed
  • It was Not Death
  • Hope is the Thing with Feathers
  • T'is so Much Joy
  • Success is Counted Sweetest
  • Much Madness
  • No Time to Hate
  • Hungry all These Years
  • I Heard A Fly Buzz When I Died
  • God Gave A Loaf To Every Bird
  • I'm Nobody
  • Hope is the Thing with Feathers

    hope-poem

    By: Emily Dickinson

"Hope" is the thing with feathers
    That perches in the soul
And sings the tune without the words
    And never stops at all,

    And sweetest in the gale is heard;
And sore must be the storm
That could abash the little bird
    That kept so many warm.

I've heard it in the chillest land
    And on the strangest sea,
    Yet never, in extremity,
It asked a crumb of me.
