“Surprised by Joy–Impatient as the Wind”

Surprised by joy — impatient as the Wind
I turned to share the transport–Oh! with whom
But Thee, deep buried in the silent tomb,
That spot which no vicissitude can find?
Love, faithful love, recalled thee to my mind–
But how could I forget thee? Through what power,
Even for the least division of an hour,
Have I been so beguiled as to be blind
To my most grievous loss?–That thought’s return
Was the worst pang that sorrow ever bore,
Save one, one only, when I stood forlorn,
Knowing my heart’s best treasure was no more;
That neither present time, nor years unborn
Could to my sight that heavenly face restore.

    Dearest heart, know
this heart is still and bursting with love
    Gods will did it
    wherever he leads you
    matters not
as they are the same to me
    for the sake of you
    may my love be silent
    a perfect guest
    in a perfect nest
    Giving Joy
    the chance to dance
    and sing a little louder
    in thy breast.

dear newly appointed editor, could you do me a favour and ammend the comment/ poem i sbmitted yesterday. I pressed a button prematurely, before i dotted the proverbial
i’s etc. The changes to be made are
    1. full stop after ‘it’ – 3rd line.
    2. capital letterstart of 4th line.
    3. change ‘you’ to ‘thee’ -7th line
    4. line 13 please add to line 12 to make one long line
    - the chance to dance and sing a little louder-
    thankyou thankyou

    (much happier commentpoem)

    Wherever he leads thee
    matters not
    for they are the same
    you see.

    For thy sacred sake
    may my love be silent
a perfect guest in a perfect nest
    giving joy
the chance to dance and sing a little sweeter
    in thy breast.
