Poems and Prayers by Sri Chinmoy

Each thought
Can be a prayer.
Each action
Can be a meditation.

Sri Chinmoy (1)

A life without prayers
And meditations
Is nothing other than
An agonising emptiness.

Sri Chinmoy (2)

God always loves
Our prayers,
Even our mind’s
Feeble prayers.

Sri Chinmoy (3)

God has no time
To listen to my mind’s
Eloquence-prayers,
But He has ample time
To listen to my heart’s
Simplicity-prayers.

Sri Chinmoy (4)

Sincere prayers can produce
divine results
In many ways.
Your prayers for mankind
Are definitely helping you,
Not to speak of helping others.

Sri Chinmoy (5)

God wants to hear
Your prayers now.
He will have no time to listen
To your deathbed prayers.

Sri Chinmoy (6)

Prayers
Are made of tears.
Meditations
Are made of smiles.
Realisation
Is made of surrender-perfections.

Sri Chinmoy (7)

Who says
God does not hear your prayers?
He does hear your prayers,
Provided they are
Your silence-prayers.
