Poems on Regret

poems on regret by Sri Chinmoy

Never regret the past.
Just go forward,
Fly upward,
Dive inward.
Be a man of wisdom-delight.

Sri Chinmoy (1)

Regret is nothing but a waste;
Therefore, do not regret.
See the light, feel the light, become the light
Of today’s dawn
And try not, cry not
To see yesterday’s stars, moon and sun.
They are gone.
They should be buried in oblivion-night.

Sri Chinmoy (2)

Free yourself as soon as possible
From the torture of endless regret
If you want to receive unfettered joy
From your illumination-soul.

Sri Chinmoy (3)

Make no haughty demands;
You will regret them later.
Make no lofty promises;
You will regret them later.

Sri Chinmoy (4)

Go forward!
Go forward!
Stave off the feelings
Of regret.
