The Mind Complaints

The mind-complaints
Cannot destroy the beauty
Of our heart.

The Mind is a Jungle; the Heart is a Garden

The mind is a jungle; the heart is a garden. So let us spend as much time as possible inside our heart-garden and become one with its beauty and fragrance. Later, when we develop the capacity, we will try to clear the jungle and replace it with beautiful plants from our hear.

How do we get beyond the mind?

When You Think You Are Responsible

When you think you are responsible

For yourself,

You create tremendous confusion

In the mind

And tremendous frustration

In the vital.

The Heart Knows

The heart knows
The direct road to God.
The mind knows
Only a roundabout route to God.

- Sri Chinmoy

Excerpt from: Twenty-Seven Thousand Aspiration-Plants, Part 262

The Mind wants to be pleased by God

The mind wants
To be pleased by God.
The heart wants
To please God.
Therefore, they follow
Different ways.

Mind and Heart Power

“In the heart, the light of the soul is always more prominent than it is in the mind. Heart-power is one with the soul’s light. Mind-power at times glimpses this light and at times does not.Mind-power is tricky; heart-power is never tricky. Mind-power cherishes separativity; heart-power cherishes oneness. The ordinary mind uses power to dominate, to possess, to lord it over others. It gets joy from a conscious, deliberate, uncompromising sense of separativity. The heart derives fulfillment only from oneness. So let us use heart-power as often as possible. Only if the mind has achieved light should we use it.”

- Sri Chinmoy

The Mind and Heart

The mind,
Consciously or unconsciously,
Can harm others.

The heart
never harms anybody,
Even unconsciously.

In the mind,
Inspiring thoughts
Come and go.

In the heart,
Aspiring feelings
Grow and flow.

My mind,
How is it that
Everything always has to be
In your own way,
And why?

The narrowness-mind
I was.

The vastness-heart
I now am.

To transform our earth-planet,
Only one thing is needed:
Spirituality’s breath.
